RF Body Sculpting

Concerns RF Body Sculpting Treats

The NLC Experience

Why patients choose NLC.

Founder Sharon M. Vogel has spent more than three decades devoted to lymphatic drainage. A Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Board-Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (LMT, CLT, BCTMB), she developed the Vogel Method and founded National Lymphatic Centers in 1991. Today her team of certified therapists carries that same standard across three clinics in Chicago's western suburbs: Hinsdale, Downers Grove and Joliet.

Honest Scope

When RF body sculpting isn't the right first call

Contraindications: we refer you on

Some conditions are outside our scope, and we will refer you.

  • • We do not perform radiofrequency work on AFib, COPD, emphysema, blood clots, or active infection
  • • These are outside our scope of care
  • • Some belong in a hospital setting
  • • This is appropriate scope of practice, not a hedge

Implants and pacemakers need extra assessment

Implanted devices and metal hardware need extra assessment first.

  • • Radiofrequency calls for extra assessment around certain implants
  • • We do not apply it over a pacemaker or similar implanted device
  • • Tell us about any implanted device or metal hardware at your consultation
  • • We assess whether RF is safe for you before it ever touches your skin

We keep our claims to what warmth can honestly do

RF here is warmth-based, and we keep our claims honest.

  • • This is warmth-based work, not the fat loss other device pages promise
  • • We do not claim dramatic tightening
  • • We support skin firmness and comfort over a series
  • • Every plan starts with an honest look at what you are dealing with
RF Body Sculpting Process

What the combined session looks like, start to finish.

The VMLD and RF Body Sculpting session runs about 130 minutes and puts two treatments back to back: seventy minutes of Vogel manual lymphatic drainage, then radiofrequency warmth on the Venus Legacy device. The room is quiet and the warmth builds slowly, and the work follows your anatomy and your comfort rather than a fixed routine.

Step 01 · Assess
A look at the area, and the plan for your session.

Your therapist asks about any implants or metal hardware, looks at the area you want to address, and sets the plan for that session. Nothing happens without your say so; your therapist asks permission before any work begins.

Not sure if this session is right for you?

That is a fair question, and we would rather answer it honestly than book you blindly. Call us, tell us what you are seeing and feeling, and we will say plainly whether the drainage and radiofrequency session can help. If it can, we will confirm where and when we can get you in.
